Rate charts & reference tables
Every payment code in one searchable table.
From 1 April 2026 the Income-tax Act, 2025 identifies the nature of a payment by a four-digit payment code rather than the legacy 194-series section number. The chart carries both, so any figure can be traced back to the 1961 Act.
TDS & TCS Rate Chart
All 90 payment codes — each with the new section under the 2025 Act, the corresponding section of the 1961 Act, the rate and the threshold. Searchable, and split by residents, non-residents and TCS.

Old regime or new, on your own figures.
Income Tax Calculator — FY 2025-26
Compares the old and new regimes for a resident individual below 60, for the year ended 31 March 2026 — the year now being filed, which remains governed by the Income-tax Act, 1961. Income earned from 1 April 2026 falls in Tax Year 2026-27 under the Income-tax Act, 2025; a calculator for that year will follow once the firm confirms the slabs. Educational estimate: surcharge and special-rate incomes are not modelled.
How to read the result
The two regimes are not better or worse than one another. They are different arithmetic structures, and which produces the lower liability depends almost entirely on how much you can actually deduct and substantiate.
What this tool does not model
- Surcharge at higher income levels, and the 25% cap in the new regime
- Income taxed at special rates, including capital gains under sections 111A and 112A
- Marginal relief where total income sits just above the rebate threshold
- Residents aged 60 and above, and other status-specific reliefs

Borrowing, priced honestly.
Each shows the full repayment schedule, not merely the instalment — because the total cost of a loan is the part borrowers most often do not see. Each has its own page, so it can be bookmarked or sent to a client directly.
